Fabio Scalia
Fabio Scalia is a hair stylist, salon owner and entrepreneur. Originating from Southern Italy, Fabio knew from a very young age that hair styling was his passion. He began his career at the age of twelve, by sweeping hair at a salon in Italy during his free time. In the years that followed, Fabio vigorously pursued his training at some of the top hair styling academies in the industry, such as Aldo Coppola, Vidal Sassoon and Toni & Guy. Fabio worked at top salons around Europe, from Milan to Monte Carlo, before arriving in NYC at the age of 21 to launch himself in America. At the age of 24, Fabio took the plunge and launched his first salon, located on the quaint Montague Street in Brooklyn Heights. For the past 16 years he has immersed himself in building his business and growing his brand. In 2016 Fabio expanded his business to the Soho neighborhood of Manhattan, where his chic salon has become a go-to spot for those who are looking for a luxurious salon experience along with an innovative hairstyle. Fabio has been featured in such publications as NY Magazine, Glamour, In Style, Marie Claire and I-Italy. Thanks to his charismatic nature and fresh, modern approach to hair design, Fabio has built a successful brand while amassing a global clientele that has followed him through every stage of his exciting career.

Rocco Crisci
Growing up in Italy, Rocco had the opportunity to be surrounded by beautiful and inspiring things his entire childhood. Hair was the canvas to his artistic expression. As a colorist, women’s hair became his creative outlet. He began his career after art school working for Compagna Della Belezza. The company has over 300 salons world wide, primarily in Europe. In 2005, he spent two years in Paris teaching coloring techniques for his company. This was a time of continuous growth for him. It led him to L’oreal Academy where he learned from some of the most talented artists in Europe. With L’oreal he traveled to Rome and Milan, where he participated in fashion week and numerous fashion shows. After working with some of the best talent in Europe he was ready to step into the U.S. scene and New York was only form fitting. He promptly joined the Fabio Scalia team. In his seven years here his talent and passion for hair has only increased. Rocco is a perfectionist and he takes advantage of every opportunity that comes his way to be a part of the most advanced trainings in hair design. He constantly uses his knowledge and expertise to develop new and meticulous strategies for the perfect results.

Samantha Gradilone
Samantha’s passion for hair came from watching her grandmother work as a hairstylist in Brooklyn, NY. Determined to pursue a career within the beauty industry, Samantha joined the Paul Mitchell Academy in NYC. She further developed her craft by working under Fabio Scalia. Fabio’s artistic direction gave Samantha new perspectives and shaped her visions. She realized the boundless potential within the field. Since then, she has participated in London and New York Fashion Week. Her work for runway and editorial has provided her with an edgy and unique style that she transfers onto her clients, especially brides who seek her styling expertise for their special days. One word to describe Samantha is knowledgeable. She carries extensive knowledge and experience on all types of hair. She is particularly enamoured with curly hair. Furthermore, she is a hair extensions specialist. Samantha believes that her success comes from the close relationships she builds with her clients.

Theresa Belloni
While growing up in Brooklyn, Theresa was the go-to person for her big Italian family when they needed to get their hair styled for all kinds of special occasions. Even before her professional training Theresa had a special talent for doing hair. Since then, she has studied, trained and expanded that talent. Theresa received formal training at Tony & Guy, Wella Studio and Vidal Sassoon. She started out at Fabio Scalia Salon as Fabio’s assistant. She was an eager student and she spent two years honing and perfecting her craft under Fabio’s guidance. Today, Theresa has her own chair where she brings her special touch to each and every hairstyle that she creates. She loves working on brides and she has a flair for up-dos. Theresa’s favorite looks are 1920’s and 1930’s glamour and she loves creating these looks using different products and styling tools.

Giulia Farella
Growing up in Bari, Italy, Giulia was always intrigued by the world of hair design. She followed in the same path as many of her childhood friends who looked at hair styling as a true art form. Giulia began her career at Toni & Guy in Italy, where she absorbed all that she could from the expertise of her peers. Giulia specifically recalls learning from her mentor that the most important thing to remember in hair design is to preserve the quality of the hair at all cost. This mentality has stayed with Guilia to this day. While still living in Europe, Giulia often traveled to London for photo shoots and workshops. \n\nAfter relocating to New York City in 2005, Giulia continued her studies in hair color and eventually became a Wella Master Colorist through a highly intensive program focusing on color application and technique. \n\nGiulia continues to take annual trips to attend Wella Italy classes where she studies updates on color research and technology. Guilia’s passion is to create looks for people that showcase their personality and their inner beauty. She looks at hair as a canvas and she wants to create something unique. She says that a “one size fits all” approach to hair color is ineffective as people are individuals and their hair color should reflect who they are. Giulia is a master color expert and she specializes in color corrections, balayage and natural looking highlights.

More recently, Rene has joined the Fabio Scalia team in order to expand his skill set and grow as a hairstylist. He is currently assisting Fabio and is looking to specialize in haircuts, with an emphasis on curly hair. Where do we see Ren in the near future?
