In today’s blog post, Brooklyn Height’s color expert Giulia Farella gives us a view into one of her client’s recent hair transformation and the importance of choosing the right color:
The magic starts during the consultation, this is where the client shares her expectations and past experiences with color. At this point, my job is to assess the current state of the hair. For this particular client the strand test confirmed her hair was virgin, which made the process a lot more easy for me. Emma wanted to transform to a medium brown base color that holds and overall natural look.
My vision for her was to transform her very dark color into a very soft color. The right hue has the power to soften all of her features and bring out the best in her. Furthermore, I decide in the moment as the appointment moves along, what the necessary steps to achieve that goal. I paint subtle pieces and create my masterpiece. After the appointment is done, I suggest her to come back in 8 weeks to do a gloss. After the service, it is very important to direct clients to the right products to purchase to maintain the color, i.e shampoo, conditioner, conditioning mask.
