Fabio Scalia is thrilled to welcome Veigas to our SoHo salon team. Veigas is an incredibly talented hair stylist that has been working in the hair industry for the last ten years. I sat down with her to chat a little bit about all things hair.
“As a hair stylist you must not only understand what your client wants, but in order to deliver that you must first gain a clear view of their lifestyle, personality, attitudes, interests, the way they carry themselves. These are all the things I like to find out before creating a look for someone.”
For Veigas, being a good listener is a requisite to become a successful hair stylist. She agrees, “the consultation is the most vital part of the hair salon visit.” It is during consultation that she is able to delve into the world of the client.
Her determination and drive is fueled by inspiration. Her own professional experiences have taught her that education feeds inspiration. Thus, Veigas is a strong believer in the power of constant education. She emphasizes that remaining ahead of the curve and on top of trends is what sets apart the top hairstylists from the rest.
